AS2885 Risk Database
Identify, Protect, Report Pipeline Risks

Risk assessments are an important engineering discipline and acceptable risk criteria prescribed in Australia by the pipeline committee of Standards Australia (ME/38) are incorporated in AS2885 Safety Management Study (Part 2) a uniform methodology for risk identification and assessment of risks associated with pipelines. A qualitative approach was adopted in this standard, whereby threats to the pipeline integrity are systematically identified, and corresponding risks associated throughout its entire length.

Risk Management System is a database which gathers, stores, displays and reports on information pertaining to design, safety and operational related hazards that cause or are capable of causing loss of pipeline integrity associated with the pipeline infrastructure.

Construction Management System

Pipeline and Facility Material Traceability

Data traceability and management for pipeline construction can be greatly assisted through the use of the CMS (Construction Management System) software, and associated modules.

CMS is the main tool used for pipeline and material traceability, but integrates with other CMS modules including Data Capture (for handheld palms and scanners), web based GIS, AS 2885 database, Alignment Sheet generator, Lands and Stakeholder database, handheld Data Capture software, and FMS (Facilities Management System) to provide a complete package from design through to handover to Operations.
